Give Joy to a Child this Christmas!
Counties across Georgia are struggling under the weight of an overwhelming need: abused and neglected young people outpace the resources to provide for them. For 100 years Murphy-Harpst, a United Methodist foster care home and resource center in Cedartown, GA, has stood in the gap by working alongside local and state agencies to provide residential treatment, specialized foster care placements and community programs to serve at-risk children and their families.
During the month of November Kids Ministry, Student Ministry and the Preschool will collect money to purchase Christmas gifts for kids at Murphy Harpst.
On Wednesday, November 20th in the Children’s Worship Center Kids Ministry + Student Ministry will have a virtual shopping party using the money collected to purchase items on the Amazon Wish List put together by Murphy Harpst.
Kids can bring cash with them to church and give it to Mary Lina or Emilie OR you can give online by clicking the button below. Make sure you select “special offering” and put “Murphy Harpst” on the memo line.
We really want this to be a Kids Ministry and Student Ministry Christmas Mission Project effort so encourage your kids to start saving up their money from chores or birthdays, bring it with them to church and give it to Mary Lina or Emilie, any time they see them!
Giving Goal: $600
Select ‘Special Offering’ and in the memo type Murphy Harpst
