Wednesday, July 20 & 27 / 5:30pm / Outside near the preschool playground
Join Mary Wall for a 2-week study of the book, "Invention of Wings" by Sue Monk Kidd, a historical fiction novel based in the early 1800’s spanning 35 years in the lives of Sarah Grimké and Hetty Handful. This novel is a triumph of storytelling that looks with unswerving eyes at one of the most devastating wounds in American history, through women whose struggles for liberation, empowerment, and expression will leave no reader unmoved. We will meet outside near the preschool playground (Chapel if weather does not permit).
