Sundays, beginning April 10 / 9:45am / N-120 (Renovation Sunday School Classroom)
Spring is a great time to become involved with our Sunday morning studies. So, if you’re seeking to a place for connection, the Renovation class is re-launching with a wonderful line up of speakers and topics that will feed your soul and introduce you to some new spiritual practices. This engaging group of adults would love to have you join them at 9:45 in Room N-120 located just off the main Sanctuary. This class welcomes people in all ages and stages of life. Here’s the lineup for next few weeks. For more information, please contact Rev. Liz Millar at lmillar@gfumc.com
April 17 - Easter / no class
April 24 - Kit Walker will be with us to discuss his book If You're Slow, the Mind Will Catch You. He will share reflections on the spiritual and physical challenges of his AT Journey.
May 1- Jake Stephens with Wesley Foundation at UGA will meet with us to discuss his ministry, which focuses on cultural diversity and discipleship.
May 8 - Mother’s Day - No class. Hug a Mom!
May 15 - David Barnett will present a fascinating discussion on CS Lewis' God in the Dock. God in the Dock is a collection of previously unpublished essays and speeches from C. S. Lewis, collected from many sources after his death. Its title implies "God on Trial “and the title is based on an analogy made by Lewis suggesting that modern human beings, rather than seeing themselves as standing before God in judgement, prefer to place God on trial while acting as his judge.
May 22 - Rick Jacobson will discuss the Ignatian practice of the Prayer of Examen as a method of deepening our time with the Lord.
May 29 - Jody Cooley will lead discussion on politics and our Christian walk, using Andy Stanley's talk before GA House & Senate as reference point.
