Sunday, January 30 / all worship services
In his letter to the Ephesians, the apostle Paul writes about the spiritual gifts that are unique to each member of the local congregation. He commends the purpose of those gifts are for “building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ” (Ephesians 4: 11 - 13).
Every member has a part in the movement of God’s kingdom among us. Each year, specific individuals take on the role of leading the congregation by facilitating Bible studies, Soul Connection, and other small groups, coordinating volunteers, overseeing outreach and care ministries, being a leader in student and children’s ministries, and serving on the church council.
On Sunday, January 30th, we will be praying for our 2022 leaders in all our worship environments. This will be a time when you will be asked to stand and commit to the congregation, and the congregation will be invited to cover you in prayer.
I hope you can be with us on Sunday, January 30th, in one of our worship services.
Please feel free to contact your ministry staff liaison if you have any questions.
