The drug epidemic is the largest healthcare crisis in the history of the United States (close to 800,000 deaths), it is entirely manmade and we have the power to change it. Beyond the number of deaths is the destruction of millions of lives and families that are drawn into the black hole of abuse and addiction.
This Forum is an effort to bring patients into closer alignment with physicians for better health with less risks. Dr. McKenzie-Brown is a pain medicine doctor at Emory and is nationally known for her work in prescribing alternatives to opioids. We hope to instill in people that they have to take more personal responsibility for their health and not just expect doctors to "Fix Me”.
