We all want the picture-perfect Christmas, but with family coming to stay, an endless list of gifts to shop for, and hoping your kids stay off the naughty list, it’s difficult to truly believe the old song “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays.” You and your family are invited to our Christmas Eve Services on Saturday, December 24 as we learn how to find fun in the dysfunction of being Home for Christmas.

Together What If Christmas Eve Service

Classic Worship Christmas Eve Service
(livestreaming below at 5pm)

This year our Christmas Eve Offering will be going to support the life-changing work happening in Guaimaca, Honduras. Through the guidance of missionaries Mike and Karen Madsen this year’s offering will go to support two critical areas of need in this community. For years Gainesville First has supported the ministry of Orphanage Emmanuel and this year we are specifically investing in the future success of their skills education program.

The past few years have been devastating for the work force of Honduras as about 70% of skilled labor have left the country. This has created a void at Orphanage Emmanuel and created a need in investing in skilled labor.

Monies from this year’s offering will go to sponsor some of the older orphan’s skill-based college education so that they can come back and teach future generations at the orphanage. This year’s offering will also go to support the impoverished community of Guaimaca by partnering with a local NGO that provides food, schools, and housing for the communities most vulnerable. Monies from this year’s offering will also sponsor the building of a school/feeding center in a local mountain village. Once a village can provide a building for a school the government will provide a trained educator to teach in that village.

Please consider giving to the awesome work God is doing in Honduras. You can give now by clicking here, simply select the Special Offerings fund and memo your gift for the Christmas Eve Offering.
